Dear Alan(s),
As you must know by now, we are thrilled with the final product for our successful new release, Electronic Health Records: Transforming Your Medical Practice. Although every book project seems to have its unique challenges, you were able to address our biggest ones: manuscript development and meeting a close deadline (which you beat by a day!). Through Boulder Bookworks' seasoned management skills and an extensive resource network, you first brought us a top editor with technical experience in our field, and then presented an impressive array of proven vendor recommendations and favorable pricing for print manufacturing. Your expert page design "kicked us up a notch," and composition and page proofing processes flowed methodically and smoothly, despite some unexpected "rewriting" at galley stage! Alan B. is truly a master craftsman. This book was a "no-miss" proposition for meeting our annual fiscal targets, and it was simply reassuring to have your expertise behind it. Thanks again, Marti Cox, MLIS |

Dear Alan S. and Alan B.,
On behalf of Polly Nordstrand and myself, I want to thank both of you for producing such a beautiful book for us — and the Denver Art Museum. When we engaged with Boulder Bookworks we all knew that we were working within severe time constraints and on a very limited budget. Despite these limitations, Breaking the Mold: The Virginia Vogel Mattern Collection of Contemporary Native American Art was delivered on time for the opening of the new Hamilton Building to enable our visitors to enjoy it as a wonderful companion to the exhibit. Over the course of many months you listened to our needs and helped us implement our vision for a catalogue that presented the art in a dramatic fashion, yet remaining accessible in its presentation. In addition, the excellent color work and high quality printing produced a book that we are very proud to have our names on. The book is beautiful and is receiving rave reviews from our public, the artists represented in the collection — and especially the collector herself. Virginia Mattern is thrilled at the high quality and creative design of the catalogue. It was a result of the combined hard work, expertise, and creativity of dozens of people, and we are pleased that Boulder Bookworks was our producer. With all good wishes, Nancy J. Blomberg |

Dear Alan and Alan,
We worked together for many months to bring out the book Wolf Trapped: The Life and Death of a Young Artist in Hitler's Europe. You did an outstanding job of designing and producing the book. Peter Natan and I gave you a pile of art dating from the 1930s, much of it careworn. We asked you to take that art, combine it with the text, and create a book. You created a terrific book. You chose its unusual size to highlight the art of the artist who was the subject of the book. You integrated the text and art into a flowing, attractive, and meaningful expression that captured what we hoped for. The book continues to elicit wonderful compliments on its design and presentation. It was a pleasure to work with you. You were always responsive to our concerns, prompt in your delivery, and understanding of our concept. Thanks very much. I hope we will have an opportunity to work together again. Sincerely yours, Robert Follett |

Dear Alans,
We wanted to let you know how pleased we were with the book project we did with your company. The Persistence of Myth and Tragedy in Twentieth Century Mexican Art was a major exhibition for us and you made it a success. From its earliest stages of engagement, through production, editing, and printing, you were wonderful to work with. We were very pleased that you were able to produce such a beautiful book within our time constraints and on our limited budget. Your design sense for the book related wonderfully with the exhibit's content, and Robert Ekelund, Jr., the author and owner of the collection, was extremely pleased with the results. Thanks again. We look forward to working with you in the future. Sincrerely, Cathy L. Wright |

To Whom It May Concern,
Recently, Fulcrum Publishing was faced with completing several files for our calendars, which required both editorial and production support that were internally unavailable. Not only did we have materials from an external source that were incomplete, but we literally needed the work done yesterday. We contacted "the Alans" at Boulder Bookworks, and within days, knew that not only was our project in very good hands, but also left us wishing that we had outsourced the entire project to them at the beginning. Both Alan Stark and Alan Bernhard were a pleasure to work with (a feeling shared by all those who worked with them), tackling a difficult and time-intensive project in an efficient and effective manner. After they provided the final materials (printer-ready) to us, they were also available to quickly answer any questions we had. Thanks to them, not only did we get our calendars delivered on time, but the final product looked better than we anticipated. I would highly recommend their services for anyone looking for reliable, professional, and solid creative work. Sincerely, Sam Scinta |
